What Zeniscan collects
- Email address, website URL, and country selection when you request a free scan.
- Account details such as business name, login email, billing status, and plan.
- Scan data, generated reports, and issue history for the sites you submit.
- Operational metadata such as IP address, request timestamps, and alert settings.
Why Zeniscan uses that data
- To run accessibility scans and deliver the resulting report.
- To operate paid accounts, billing, account security, and support workflows.
- To prevent abuse of the free-scan funnel and protect the service.
- To fulfill deletion requests and maintain basic compliance and audit records.
UK GDPR lawful basis
- Free-scan lead capture and related product security measures rely on legitimate interests.
- Paid accounts, reporting, and subscription delivery rely on contract.
- Billing and compliance records may also be retained where legal obligations apply.
Retention and deletion
Zeniscan retains free-scan submissions, scan results, generated reports, and account records for up to 12 months after the most recent relevant activity unless a shorter retention period is required or you request deletion earlier. We may retain limited billing, fraud-prevention, or compliance records longer where needed.
Logged-in customers can submit a manual deletion request from the Account page. Zeniscan processes deletion requests manually and aims to confirm completion within 30 days.
Cookies and consent
Zeniscan currently uses only strictly necessary cookies for authentication and secure session handling. No analytics or advertising cookies are active at this time, so no separate consent banner is shown.
Third-party processors
Supabase
Authentication, database hosting, and storage for scan/report records.
Microsoft Azure
Cloud hosting provider for application and request delivery.
Resend
Transactional email delivery for scan reports and account emails.
PayPal
Payment gateway for subscription billing and payment operations for US/UK customer plans.
OpenAI
LLM-powered report generation from scan results.
Slack
Optional customer-configured webhook alerts when new issues are detected.
Accessibility and legal framing
Zeniscan separates accessibility-law framing by market. US-facing copy refers to ADA Title III website-access exposure. UK-facing copy refers to Equality Act 2010 reasonable adjustment duties. Zeniscan does not present a site-specific probability of litigation and does not treat these scans as legal advice.
Zeniscan is an automated scan, not a legal opinion. It does not guarantee ADA or Equality Act compliance, or immunity from litigation. For confirmed legal risk, consult an accessibility-focused attorney.
